Tuesday’s Evening:

HOUSTON – Tuesday winds shift out of the SE as high pressure moves to the east of Texas. The onshore flow will increase moisture in the atmosphere, but not enough to limit fire risk.

Tuesday SE Texas will have a high to very high fire danger level as winds gust over 25 mph.

Wednesday’s Forecast:

The next chance of rain arrives Wednesday along a cold front. Right now, the chance of rain for SE Texas is around 20%. Sadly, not enough to tame fire weather concerns.

Best chance for rain is after 7 AM.

The rain will come to end by noon with a decrease in cloud cover the out the evening.

Rain moves east

Winds switch direction from southwest turning more northwesterly but remain breezy with gust near 25 mph.

This NW wind will drag in drier air-further increasing the fire weather concerns across SE Texas.

Be cautious when burning and handling fire.

For the start of spring, we will be back to a very comfy start in the low 70s, slowly warming as we get into the weekend.

Cooler for the first day of spring before temperatures return to the 80s.
