HOUSTON – Beware that ozone levels are high Tuesday. If you sensitivities to air pollutants limit time outside. We’re under an Ozone Action Day today. which means pollutants can be more concentrated and affect eyes, nose, and throats. Look at the divider line between the clearer air and the ozone/particles trapped near the ground just after sunrise on our Downtown Cam.

Tonight’s Forecast:
Staying mild overnight with lows only in the mid-60s.

Wednesday’s Forecast:
Fog is possible before 9 AM, so watch for reduced visibility.

While the fog mixes out clouds build, making for partly sunny afternoon. Highs reach the mid-80s and more humidity developing.

Rain and storm system on the horizon
Starting Thursday, rain chances will increase across the Houston area. Initially light showers will make way for more widespread and potentially heavy rain as Thursday night transitions into Friday.

This storm system continues to trend south keeping the heaviest of rain likely south of I-10. Some areas along the coast could pick up 4-8 inches of rain through Saturday.

Leading to a risk of flooding Thursday and Friday.

10 Day Forecast:
Aside from a soaking end to the work week with Friday’s rain, we should get back to a relatively quiet pattern next week with highs in the low to mid 80s and a mix of clouds and sun.
