Thursday - Saturday rain moves along the Gulf Coast

Heavy rain will lead to street flooding across SE Texas Late Week

Showers and storms will roll along the Texas coast as a low-pressure system moves east.

Low pressure moves towards Houston

The rain starts Thursday morning as light showers and will continue throughout the day. The heaviest arrives Friday with more widespread moderate to heavy rain. Models continue to keep the heaviest along the coast and southwest of Houston. Corpus Christi under a moderate Flash Flood Risk, while Houston is under a slight risk. Watch for street flooding Friday.

A moderate risk for flooding for Seadrift to Kingsville.

By Saturday, we are no longer worried about a washout. Drizzling and light showers are what are left for Houston.

Low moves away from Texas

From Thursday into Saturday morning, rain totals to an inch in Houston but coastal communities from Galveston to Seadrift could see 3 to 6 inches of rain.

Heaviest rain stays south of I-10.

This exit of rain will warm temperatures Saturday and Sunday.
