Flooding possible due to locally heavy rain through Saturday morning – Rounds of rain will continue to move through SE Texas, but the heaviest will likely miss Houston.

SW of I-10, a Flood Watch is in effect for Wharton, Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Matagorda counties through Friday. The heaviest rain will likely fall here, causing ponding and street flooding.

Houston will likely pick up 1 -2 inches through Saturday morning. While areas south range from 2 - 5 inches with locally higher amounts closer to 8 inches.

Heaviest SW of Harris County

So far the highest totals remain southwest of Harris County. Check out the radar’s estimated rainfall totals over the last 24 Hours. Parts of Wharton County picked up over 3 inches of rain, while Harris County’s totals range from .25 inches to half an inch.
