Current radar conditions:

This front has the possibility of producing 50+ mph winds and when the cooler air and the warm muggy air clash it creates a turbulent mix that can trigger powerful thunderstorms. Timing can change but here is an outline of what to expect as we track the front’s path into Houston.

While the threat of flooding is low, there is still a chance that some stronger, isolated storms could produce some flooded spots. When the cooler air and the warm air clash - it can spark intense storms which could produce heavy downpours on our saturated soil, heightening our flood risk today.

Sunday’s Forecast:
Sunday we will be off to a wet start and thanks to the cold front - it will feel colder. Our morning lows on Sunday will be in the 50s followed by the 40s Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Rain chances will be low but not zero Sunday. Showers will be spotty and mainly south of I-10.

10 Day Forecast:
We drop those temperatures to cooler than average as a high-pressure system brings plenty of sunshine our way! By Tuesday, we should see a return flow from the Gulf, driving our temperatures and humidity back up to close out the work week.
