Happening NOW: We’re tracking a low but real severe weather risk today for our viewing area today.

Your weather team is keeping a close eye on radar for thunderstorms, hail and damaging winds as we head into the afternoon into the evening.

Flood Watch: Flood Watch has been expanded to include Harris, Montgomery, and Waller counties. The watch also includes Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Grimes, Washington, and Madison counties until Monday morning.

The storms have high rainfall rates, producing 2″-4″ in an hour, and continue to drop over the same areas repeatedly. Be sure to watch for street flooding and ponding while traveling.

TIMELINE: Your weather team is keeping a close eye on radar in general but keeping a close eye on areas like Columbus, Katy, Brenham, Cypress, The Woodlands, Huntsville this afternoon into dinner time.

1 PM: We’ll track rain and thunderstorms from Columbus, Brenham, to Huntsville.

4 PM: We’ll track for rain and thunderstorms for areas north and south of Columbus, Brenham, The Woodlands, Huntsville and Sugar Land.
