HOUSTON – The heaviest rainfall is expected in coastal communities, where totals of 2 to 6 inches are possible. Across the Houston metro area, rain chances will be more scattered, with some neighborhoods seeing heavier downpours while others receive much less.

Away from the coast, most locations can expect between a half-inch and 1 inch of rain, though isolated higher amounts will be possible in stronger storms.
