Wednesday’s forecast:
The humidity continues to climb and so does the temperature. We should reach 100° for the second time this year and the first time this month.
Heat Advisory goes into effect on Thursday:
As we’re starting to see more humidity move back into the area from the Gulf, our “feels like” temps will start to climb back into the 106-110 range. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for SE Texas from 12pm Thursday through 7pm on Friday.
No end in sight:
Houston won’t get an opportunity at rain until late week, and the chance is only 20%.
Temperatures will be around 100° and with the humidity, it of course, will feel even hotter. A very hot high pressure dome is planted across most of Texas this week, which is responsible for our current run of 100s in the afternoons.
We also starting to see burn bans move back into the picture as conditions are drying out very quickly with all this heat and lack of rain.
Tracking the tropics:
We have entered the busiest 45 day stretch of our hurricane season. But because of intense wind shear and dry air over the Atlantic Basin there in no tropical activity expected for the next 7 days!
10 Day Forecast:
We’re in for one of the hottest stretches of late summer. Expect to see highs hitting 100 this week with a few small rain chances Friday and Saturday.
