Breezy morning, Sunny & Windy afternoon expected

Even with no rain, Sunday will be a very active weather day with a breezy morning turning into a potentially dangerous windy afternoon. A wind advisory is in place for most of Southeast Texas from 9am to 5pm when wind is expected to be from the W & NW sustained 20-30mph with higher gusts.
A Gale warning is in place in the Bays and offshore where sustained winds are expected to be in the 25-35 knot range with gust possible in the 45-50 knot range.
Seas are expected to be 5 -8 feet near shore and 10-14 feet offshore. The Gale warning is in place until 9pm.
All of the high winds of course create a dangerous situation where it concerns trees that may be blown over, especially because they may be in soil moistened by this past week’s rain.
No rain is in the forecast for the next several days as the front that moved through overnight is taking rain chances to the East.
Sunny skies for the next three days as well with highs today and Monday near 70 with an increase to near 80 ahead of the Wednesday front that will drop temps for the rest of the week to near normal with highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s and upper 30s .
