Sunday night showers and storms continue to dwindle, but on Monday, another round is on the way.
As of now, a Flood Watch remains in effect for Madison, Trinity, San Jacinto, and Walker Counties until 7 AM. Monday.
Through Monday, areas in the flood watch could see 2 to 4 inches. Areas south of I-10 may only see nearly 1 inch and even lower near the coast.
Here's the timeline: Monday starts cloudy, with spotty to scattered showers developing late in the morning.
By Monday afternoon, a line of storms is expected to approach from the west, and this could bring the threat of hail and damaging winds. The line will move east across our SE Texas region by 6 PM. After sunset, another line of storms that have the potential to be strong to severe after sunset.
High temperatures should reach the upper 80s on Monday with a sticky feel.
