HOUSTON – After nearly two weeks of voting for which KPRC Local 2 morning anchor you want to see slimed on Halloween, the event was held Wednesday morning.
Lauren Freeman received 49 percent of the votes on our Click2Houston.com contest. More than 79,000 votes were cast.
She was slimed at the Children's Museum of Houston live at 6:45 a.m. during the Spooktacular event.
"Let me just remind everyone that I actually had today off to spend with my kids, but I love my job so much, I'm so dedicated, I'm here to get slimed," Lauren said.
Lauren was a great sport as the green goo was thrown on her and squirted from a slime gun. She wore goggles to protect her eyes.
"I'm not doing this ever again. I'm not kidding. I'm talking to the bosses," she joked after it was over. "Owen is next year!"
