HOUSTON – Serve up Chimichuri Steak for a new twist on the main dish in this week's Cookin' Time With H-E-B.
Chimichuri Steak
Prep time : 10 minutes
Marinade time: 10-15 minutes
Cook time10-15 minutes
4 Steaks preferably Ribeye or NY Strip
1 cup Ottavio Extra Virgin Olive Oil divided use
6 tablespoons Adams Reserve Chimichuri Seasoning
2 tablespoons Adams Reserve Prime Rib and Steak
¼ Cup Red Wine Vinegar
Prepare grill. Rub steaks with prime rib and steak Rub and pat with ¼ cup of olive oil. Blend remaining olive oil, vinegar, and chimichuri rub, set aside.
When ready toss steaks on grill and cook 4-6 minutes depending on thickness to desired level doneness. Refer to chart below.
Serve steaks either topped with chimichuri or on the side.
145°F for Medium-Rare; remove at 135° to 140°F
140°F for Rare; remove at 130° to 135°F
160°F for Medium; remove at 150° to 155°F
