PORT ARTHUR, Texas – Brittani Washington's fingers first tickled a keyboard long before she learned how to add and subtract.
Music runs in the blood of this Port Arthur native, who got her start singing and performing on the keyboard at her parents' church.
This preacher's kid toured the south, singing and performing, as her parents spread the gospel, allowing Brittani a chance to learn not only keys, but bass and drums.
Brittani's talent brought her to Houston, where after performing at establishments in the Bayou City, she received a call to audition as a keyboardist for Houston-native, Beyonce.
For seven years, Brittani toured the world with Beyonce, as a member of the singer's all-female band.
These days, Brittani is a solo artist, singing and recording her sound, which strings together decades of musicianship.
