HOUSTON – Here is a rundown of some of the coolest free events happening around our area this weekend.

Mr. McKinney Houston History Bus

Mr. McKinney's Houston History Bus is offering free rides to polling places for the final day of early voting and Election Day. To hop aboard the open-air school bus, you have to fill out this online form and get together a group of 15 to 20 people. Everyone in your group has to "like" and "follow" the History bus on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Then just let them know your pickup time and which polling location you're heading to.

Bark in the Park

Grand Central Park in Conroe is hosting the return of Bark in the Park Saturday. Canines of all sizes can join their owner for a one-and-a-half mile walk and an after-party. There will also be food trucks and a performance by the Houston Disc Dogs.

The event is free, but you do need to register. It starts at 9 a.m.

Cigna Sunday Streets

It's the first weekend of the month, which means it's time for Cigna Sunday Streets. They're taking over Rice Village with booths and activities. Roads in the area will be closed to motorized traffic so people can cycle, walk, run, dance and socialize in the street. There's a photo booth, wellness-themed exercises.

It starts Sunday at noon. The streets impacted include University Boulevard, Morningside Drive, and Rice Boulevard.

Museum of Fine Arts Day of the Dead celebration

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is celebrating Day of the Dead with a fall festival. It's going on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. They're inviting families to come play, hang out and let loose. There will be games, screenings of the Pixar movie, "Coco," in English and Spanish and plenty of games.

Admission to the festival is free.
