HOUSTON – Todson is voluntarily recalling 40,000 of its Topeka Babyseat II Bicycle carrier seats.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a child can get their fingers caught in the grab bar's hinge mechanism, posing a laceration and fingertip amputation hazard.

The company has received two reports of incidents involving near amputations resulting in a crushed finger and stitches.
This recall involves Topeak Babyseat II bicycle carrier seats with model numbers TCS2100, TCS2101 and TCS2102.
The product was sold between January 2009 and April 2012 for $140 and $180.
Consumers who have this product are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Todson at 800-250-3068 to receive a free hinge cover retrofit kit.
