HFD investigating suspicious fire at nightclub closed for remodeling

HOUSTON – Investigators are trying to figure out how a fire started at a west Houston nightclub on Wednesday night.

At about 9:30pm, firefighters responded to a fire at the Old Houston Brewery Club in the 6200 block of Richmond Avenue at Briargrove. When they arrived, firefighters found a fire burning in the back room of the night club.

The club is closed right now for remodeling.

There were no injuries. The structure incurred moderate damage to its interior.

HFD says the fire was suspicious in nature and HFD Arson is investigating.
