HOUSTON – Deputies are trying to figure out what happened to the four people who were found dead in a home in northwest Harris County.
Homicide investigators Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on Fosters Creek Drive in the Coles Crossing subdivision around 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a welfare check.
"When deputies arrived at the scene, they entered the building, which is a private residence and found several people inside dead," said Detective Rolf Nelson.
Many neighbors woke up Friday to see more than a dozen patrol cars parked in the area and crime tape wrapped around an entire block.
Neighbors said the couple who lived in the home had two young children.
"Those two little boys had the biggest light in their eyes," said neighbor Tiffany Bever. "They were sweet and they loved everybody here. They rode their bikes and played with all their friends, and you would see them coming and going"
"About all I know about the family is that they have a couple of small kids," explained neighbor David Hummel. "This kind of shakes you up."
"They were good people," said neighbor Randall Duncan. "Kids were real sweet. Husband and wife were real sweet, so you just don't really know.
The names and exact causes of death will not be released until medical examiners complete autopsies; however, sources confirmed to Local 2 that each person died from a single gunshot wound.
Deputies said at this point they have no information to release on who committed the crime inside the home or any potential suspects.
Anyone with information about this case should call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Division at 713-967-5810.
