HOUSTON – Travelers will soon notice big changes at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Houston Airport System officials announced Thursday morning at Houston's city council meeting that IAH will be expanding one of its international terminals.
Airport officials said a lot more people are traveling to the Houston area, so the new Mickey Leland Terminal D facility is set to get a new look.
The plans include bigger bathrooms, more places to drop off and pick up passengers, and more lounge areas.
Officials said all of the improvements will help increase traffic flow and reflect Houston's current standing as a world leader in business and quality of life.
