Neighbors chase down, catch 2 men after crash

No description found

HOUSTON – Police are searching for two men after a truck nearly crashed into a southeast Houston home Friday morning.

Investigators said four men were driving East on Reed Road in a pickup truck around 1:30 a.m.

The driver was speeding and lost control of the truck near Heron Drive.

Officials said the vehicle drove off the roadway and knocked down two small trees in the front yard of a home. The pickup truck came to a stop against the side of the house.

The four men in the truck jumped out and tried to run away, but were spotted by a few neighbors.

Police said the witnesses chased after the men, and were able to catch the driver and one of the passengers. They held the two men until Houston police arrived on the scene

Officers believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.
