JACKSONVILLE, Florida – An Instagram video reportedly shows a father pushing his young child off a half pipe at a Florida skate park.
Local 2 News' sister station WJXT-TV in Jacksonville started receiving calls about the video on Friday.
Kona Skate Park confirmed the incident, and officials say they told the child who shot the video and his parents to call police and child services. The park said it was first made aware of the incident around 11 p.m. Friday.
Kona skate park identified the man and boy in the video as Marcus Crossland and his son, whose nickname around the park is "Dino the Dinosaur."
John Harrell, of the Florida Department of Children and Families, said no one has contacted the agency, but based on the description of the video, DCF is interested in contacting Crossland and making sure the child is OK.
"We want to make sure these children are safe. We want to see if there's another concern within this home. Certainly, the video is disturbing," Harrell said.
