HOUSTON – Fashion retailer H&M will soon open a new location inside The Galleria.
The new store will be approximately 20,000 square feet.

The Galleria location is set to open in fall 2014.
The Swedish fashion retailer has eight stores in Texas.
H&M opened locations at Baybrook Mall and Willowbrook Mall in 2012.
The retailer opened its first U.S. store in New York City on Fifth Avenue in 2000.
The very first store opened in 1947 in Västerås, Sweden.
At that time, the store only sold women's clothing and was called "Hennes."
The name was changed to Hennes & Mauritz in 1968 when the retailer began selling clothes for men and children.
