Sketch released of man wanted for questioning in fatal shooting

HOUSTON – Houston police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man outside a southwest Houston gas station.

Police said the victim, Pedro Jacinto, was walking to the Valero gas station on Hillcroft Street and Windswept Lane around 1:30 a.m. Monday when two men in an SUV pulled up beside him.

Someone fired a shot, striking Jacinto, then both suspects fled the scene.

When police arrived, Jacinto was lying dead in the parking lot.

Witnesses said the SUV was either silver or gray, and possibly a Toyota.

Further information led to the identification of the person in the composite sketch as someone who may be associated with the SUV seen leaving the scene.
