HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday on the 2600 block of Genoa Red Bluff Road.
Police say the victim was driving a black Range Rover westbound on Genoa Red Bluff and couldn't stay within a single lane. The vehicle crossed over a median into oncoming traffic and collided with a silver Mercedes, according to authorities.

Investigators say the driver of the Range Rover died at the scene. Their identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The driver of the Mercedes was taken to the hospital with a leg injury, according to HPD officials.
