HOUSTON – A woman who fired shots at Channel 13's studios has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Michelle Monique Burks was charged with deadly conduct and evading arrest. She will be committed to a state mental institution.
Investigators say Burks shot five rounds in the station's parking lot on Bissonnet Street near Buffalo Speedway on March 27. She led officers on a short chase before being arrested.
