KATY, Texas – We're getting a first look at what the new Katy Boardwalk will look like Tuesday.
An animated video showing the plans was presented to Katy's city council.
The new boardwalk will be built behind Katy Mills Mall. It will surround a convention center and hotel, and will include an 80-acre pond.
It will also have condos, retail stores and restaurants.
The project will cost nearly $50 million.
It will take between eight to 10 years to complete, but developers hope to start building later this year.
