DEER PARK, Texas – A teenager who is also a registered sex offender is accused of exposing himself to a woman at a Walmart in Deer Park on Saturday.
LJean Promise, 17, is charged with indecent exposure.
According to court documents, a woman was shopping at a Walmart on Spencer Highway when she saw a young man with dreadlocks, wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and an apron, appearing to be stocking shelves.
The woman said the man approached her on the left side if aisle 5 and stood next to her in silence.
The woman said that when turned to see what he wanted, she saw his apron lifted and his genitals showing through his unzipped pants. The woman quickly left the aisle and went in search of help.
Deer Park police reviewed surveillance footage and recognized the suspect as a registered sex offender in the area. A photo of Promise was shown to the woman, who positively identified him as the man in the aisle with her.
Charges were filed against Promise and his bail was set at $500.
