CYPRESS, Texas – A 3-year-old boy is in a hospital after nearly drowning at a house Sunday near Louetta Road and Grant Road in Cypress.
KPRC is told the boy was inside what is believed to be his grandparent's home, where a family gathering was taking place. At some point, the boy crawled outside through a doggie door and his parents realized he was missing.
They started looking for him and the boy's father saw the child floating facedown in the pool from a second-story window.
The child was pulled from the water at about 1:30 p.m.
"The constables and the fire department guys run back there, but we didn't see any action at all outside," neighbor Ed Stevens said.
Paramedics began performing CPR immediately upon arriving at the scene. The boy was rushed to a hospital by LifeFlight. KPRC 2 is told treatment has been ongoing but there is no word on his condition.
