HOUSTON – Two students were injured Monday morning in a school bus crash in downtown Houston, Houston Independent School District officials confirm.
Students from Sherman Elementary School were heading to a field trip when the school bus they were riding on collided with a truck on St. Emanuel at Franklin street.
The students were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
The district notified parents about the accident.
Houston police and HISD police were on the scene investigating and controlling traffic.
