COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M students and alumni came together early Friday morning to remember the 1999 collapse that killed 12 Aggies and injured 27.
At 2:42 a.m., they lit candles to remember the victims who lost their lives 12 years ago.

The bonfire is no longer a school-sanctioned activity, but some students celebrate off campus.
The University holds tours throughout the semester of the Bonfire Memorial. It was created five years after the collapse.
