TUNICA, Mississippi. – A Houston-bound flight carrying actor Morgan Freeman had to make a crash landing Saturday, according to a report by WMC Action News 5 in Memphis.
The report said the plane was coming from Clarksdale, Mississippi. It made a crash landing at the Tunica Airpot in Tunica, Mississippi. Freeman and his pilot were not hurt in the crash landing.
The plane sustained damage, including a blown out tire.
Morgan Freeman's publicist released the following statement:
"I was on my plane on the way to Texas to shoot a segment for The Story of God. Sometimes things don't go as planned and a tire blew on take-off which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch. I cannot say the same about my plane. I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety."
