A school bus driver with the Conroe Independent School District received a special Christmas gift from her students Friday.
Students pitched in more than $2,000 to give their bus driver Ms. Becky for Christmas. They said she deserves it because she goes the extra mile for them.
"I make sure that their kids are safe to and from school, on special assignments, and I try to give them a little entertainment, and they love it," she said. "Especially my elementary kids - I love them, and they love me back. The love they showed me on Friday was so unexpected, and by God's grace, they truly, truly, truly blessed me."
Ms. Becky said she will use the money to give her grandchildren a very special Christmas.
"Words cannot express the love that I have for those parents and their children," she said. "God makes a way every single day. I was truly blessed and I thank God for his grace and mercy."
