HOUSTON – Allegations have been made against three local teachers.
The teachers, from different school districts, are accused of inappropriate behavior with students in three unrelated cases.
Police said they are trying to determine if there are more victims.
According to investigators, four third-grade girls claimed they were fondled by Ruben Vargas Trejo, 52. The first girl to come forward said it happened repeatedly to her and other girl's in Trejo's classroom at J.R. Harris Elementary School.
Court documents allege a similar complaint over a decade ago by a student in his second-grade class at Barrick Elementary.
A 29-year-old male teacher at the Yes Prep Academy in southeast Houston is also facing felony charges. Alexander Christian Anderson is alleged to have fondled and sent improper text messages to a female student. According to investigators, the texts were found by the girl's mother who alerted school officials and police.
In one of them on March 20, Anderson allegedly tells the girl: 'I want to ask you about your body, ok with that?'"
After the girl sent a nude photo of herself, Anderson allegedly responded: 'Yea, that's close to what I had in mind. I really do think you have a lovely body.'"
Anderson is charged with sexual performance by a child and improper relationship with a student.
Police with the Humble Independent School District moved quickly to bring charges against Cierra Nicole Crain, 28. One of Crain's male students at Kingwood Park High School claimed she had sex with him. It allegedly happened twice, the last time on Oct. 30 in her car parked in the parking lot of Woodland Hills Elementary School.
Crain is charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship with a student.
All of the schools are closed for the holidays. School police and administrators weren't available for comment.
A multi-car crash sent several children to a hospital Monday.
It happened at about 6 p.m. Monday at Kuykendahl Road and York Creek Drive.
Rescue crews and police are on the scene.
