HOUSTON – A Lee High School student was shot and killed while walking home in southwest Houston Friday, according to a Houston Independent School District spokesperson.
Police were called to the area of Beverly Hill and Greenridge Drive near Lee High School around 4:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
According to investigators, the 16-year-old boy was shot four times after a white Ford pickup with four males inside pulled up behind him and opened fire. The teen's body was found in a ditch. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The Houston police homicide division is investigating.
