HOUSTON – Surveillance video of a truck that a suspect was driving during the fatal shooting of a local high school student was released.
Police said Alvin Torres, a Lee High School student, was walking in the 6200 block of Beverly Hill on Friday afternoon when a white extended-cab pickup truck drove by. Witnesses stated an unknown Hispanic man in the truck fired shots and struck Torres multiple times. The truck drove off.
Paramedics transported Torres, 16, to Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest, where he was pronounced dead.
The license plate on the truck starts with a "D" or an "O," police said.
