Family, police ask help finding killer of man shot, left in street

On April 7, Henry Kiherile, 32, was found dead in the street in the 1200 block of Bigelow. 

According to police, a driver saw Kiherile lying in the middle of the streets and called for help.

He was taken to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, where he died.

Surveillance video showed Kiherile alone pumping gas at a Chevron at 2102 North Main about 10:50 p.m. on April 6, police said. They believe he was shot about 20 minutes later and left on Bigelow.

Detectives say his vehicle, a blue 2009 BMW 328 with Texas license plates DZW-0119, was stolen at the time of the shooting.  On April 7, video showed the car being driven into the Villas on the Greens Apartments on Homestead Road. Police were able to recovered the vehicle on April 12

Police have no witnesses to the shooting or suspects.

His family, along with investigators, are asking for help catching his killer. 

Friday investigators with the Houston Police Department's HomicideDivision discussed the latest details of the case.
