ATLANTA – A photo of an Atlanta police officer sleeping inside his car on duty is making the rounds on the internet.
Twitter account Everything Georgia shared a photo Sunday that shows the unidentified officer slumped over in his police unit with his eyes closed.

The Atlanta Police Department responded to the tweet acknowledging it is aware of the photo. The department said it had identified the officer.
Yes we are aware. We have identified him and are taking appropriate action.

A Twitter user replied to the police department's tweet, asking it not to fire him.
