NEW CANEY, Texas – Store employees detained their manager for stealing boxes of cigarettes, according to Precinct 4 deputies.
Deputies said they received a report that a store employee was being detained after she was caught stealing boxes of cartons of cigarettes from a New Caney Tobacco Barn.

After investigating the incident, deputies found out that Elizabeth Griffith, 30, was the manager of the Tobacco Barn.
Deputies arrested and charged Griffith with felony theft.
