MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is hoping releasing a few photos will help identify the body of a man found dead in the Bear Branch Reservoir on Oct. 7.
A kayaker found the body and notified police around 4:20 p.m. that day. Police found the man wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved turtleneck shirt, blue jeans, black socks and black Velcro sneakers. He was found with a dark-green backpack and was carrying a small Swiss army knife. He was also wearing a dog-tag style necklace with the name, "Phillip H. Williams," along with a small pendant of a Viking-style ship.
