2 accused of posing as music producers, using social media to sexually assault underage girl

HOUSTON – Two men are accused of using social media to pose as music producers to contact an underage girl and sexually assault her, deputies said.

Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman said Francisco Anavisca and Pedro Lopez used social media apps like Kik messenger to get in touch with a 15-year-old girl in northeast Texas.

Deputies said both men are gang members, and on Oct. 16 they posed as music producers, picked up the girl and took her to a location and sexually assaulted her multiple times. Hickman said there was no talk of sex during the initial contact.

"The premise of the original contact was that the young lady is an aspiring musician and songwriter and so their dialogue came about in relative to that subject matter. So our initial investigation doesn't reveal that there was a sexual undertone in that," Hickman said.

Deputies said the suspects allowed the girl to make a phone call, and she called her friend and alerted authorities.

The two were arrested separately several days later.

Anavisca, 25, and Lopez, 24, are charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

We're told there could be more victims, so anyone with information is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
