KATY, Texas – A young man was sentenced to life in prison without parole Friday after a deadly apartment shooting in Katy, Texas.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said that when Kizer and another man were wearing masks and carrying guns on April 26, 2015, when they went inside an apartment in the 21000 block of Kingsland Boulevard.

Deputies said when Kizer and his accomplice ordered the two men inside the apartment to the ground, they fought back, and Kizer opened fire. One of the men, Christian Burke, died.
Homicide investigators arrested Kizer four days later and charged him with capital murder in Burke's death.
