Beltran emphasized his respect for Hall of Famer Craig Biggio and also for Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa and the other budding stars on the Astros roster.

Beltran touched on his previous stint in Houston as part of the 2004 team that lost to the Cardinals, in seven games, in the National League Championship Series.

Beltran expressed his desire to win a World Series, noting that he is in his 20th season and might not have many chances left.

He also expressed his desire to help younger players with work ethic and strategy.

After years of receiving boos in Houston, Beltran will surely be cheered this season as the Astros search for their first World Series championship.
