Jaidyn Amiot was seen asleep in her bed by her grandmother around 11 a.m.
"Please come home, she knows she's my heart and we just miss her terribbly," grandmother Sheila Amiot said.
Her grandmother was making an emotional plea to help find her.
"I stayed up all night with the door unlocked hoping and praying she'd come home," Sheila Amiot said.
Her grandmother said Jaidyn looks a lot older than she is and has gone missing before.
But this time was different.
"She gave me no notice this time. She has always called me before, and this time she snuck out and didn't hear from her at all," Sheils Amiot said.
The grandmother told police that when she went to check on Amiot, between noon and 1 p.m., she discovered the child was missing and her pajamas were lying on her bed.
Working alongside police, the family tracked a cell phone Jaidyn has to an apartment complex not too far from their own home.
The family confirmed with people living there that Jaidyn had spent the night.
"Please come home, please. She's not in trouble. We just want her home," Sheila Amiot said.
With each passing minute her family grew worried.
"We're hoping she's going to come home, we sure do miss her," Sheila Amiot said.
