HISD middle school principal removed from campus

HOUSTON – A Houston family is speaking out, after they saysaying their son was molested by the principal at Marshall Middle School last year.

"And I said why'why didn't you ever tell me?' And he said I'I was scared,'" the mother said.

It's something the 14-year-old was too afraid to talk about until now.

"He told his mother that the principal at Marshall Middle School was fondling him. And had him take pictures of himself," the grandmother said.

The allegations are unsettling. This mother says her 14-year-old son with special needs was 13 at the time.

"I wish I would've known then," the mother said.

The boy says it only happened in detention after school, and it wasn't just him. He says the principal would perform lewd acts with other children and force him to watch.

“You never would think it would happen in your own home. Because you see it everydayevery day in the schools," the mother said.

That mother saying she too has been violated.

"I protect my kids, I listen to my kids and for a sick person to do something like that," the mother said.

The family is now furious that this could happen in a place where children are supposed to be protected.

"To think that someone in this position would violate not only a child period, but a special needs child," the grandmother said.

HISD police launched the investigation Friday.

They have released a statement saying:

"Houston ISD has received allegations of misconduct involving the principal of Marshall Middle School. The principal was temporarily removed from the campus today, pending the outcome of an investigation."
