HOUSTON – The Gulf Freeway at Clear Lake City Boulevard has reopened Wednesday morning after a fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler shutdown all lanes.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m.
HPD said an 18-wheeler caught fire and lost control of the vehicle, striking a pickup truck that was already stopped in the emergency lane.
Houston fire department was able to clear the fire without any major injuries to the drivers, police said.
HPD said the driver of the pickup truck was taken to Clear Lake Regional for minor injuries.
