Up to $10,000 reward paid to anyone with information on person who burned woman's body in vehicle

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone with information on the person who killed a woman and burned her body in a vehicle. 

The Galveston County medical examiner positively identified Lorraine Diaz, 21, as the woman whose body was found burning inside a vehicle on Jan. 11, officials said.

Authorities originally responded to reports around 1:40 a.m. of a Silver 2016 Nissan Altima on fire in a field on FM 762 about three miles southeast of Thompson Road.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the persons responsible for the death of Lorraine Diaz.

“This is an important case, illustrated by the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers organization’s decision to increase the reward money to $10,000,” said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls. “We need people to step up in order to solve this case and Crime Stoppers is willing to pay for positive leads.”
