Texans fans excited for the start of season

HOUSTON – Texans fans made their way into the stadium Saturday night for a preseason game against the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

It’s the first NFL game here since the Super Bowl. This year, fans hoped to make it all the way.

“We’re very confident. I’m thinking 11-5. Maybe 12-4. And I’m usually pretty good about this stuff. Very optimistic. I think realistic is more the word,” Texans fan Jim Knievel said.

“I haven’t given it much thought. But I’m hoping we do better than we did last year. Definitely better roster, better lineup. We think so. Bringing in better players that are hungry are going to want to play harder and I think they have stuff to prove to stick around,” Texans fan Chad Trahan said.

It is mid-August and fans are optimistic about the playoffs and Super Bowl.

“Savage goes six games. Watson takes over. We need 11 wins. 11 wins. Come on now. Because JJ is back and we actually we have a guy not named Brock quarterbacking. Two guys. That’s two wins right there right?” Texans Fan Terry Hinze said.
