Power outages reported across Houston area

HOUSTON – Thousands of people are reported to have no power across the Houston area, according to CenterPoint Energy.

At 2 a.m. Thursday, officials said more than 53, 246 people are experiencing power outages due to Hurricane Harvey. CenterPoint crews are unable to restore power until many parts of the city roads are cleared from flood waters.

To report a power outage by phone call CenterPoint at 713-207-2222 or 800-332-7143. Do not call 911 unless there is an emergency.

If you encounter downed power lines​​​, stay at least 10 feet away and report them to CenterPoint.​ ​
