Family feud over fatal stabbing leads to brutal assault

Abdallah, Adham Abdelaziz facing charges

SAN ANTONIO – A brutal beating has added fire to a family feud.

Andira Abdelaziz, 35, is accused of stabbing and killing her nephew Mohammed Abdelaziz, 25, in August 2016.

As Abdelaziz' murder trial approaches, Mohammed's brothers are now behind bars.

Abdallah Abdelaziz, 29, and Adham Abdelaziz, 25, are accused of beating their uncle so badly he had broken facial bones and brain bleeds, according to an arrest affidavit.

The victim told police he was at the Shisha Cafe on Sunday when his nephews attacked him. An arrest affidavit said the pair yelled at him while they beat their uncle because he defended Andira Abdelaziz.

On Aug. 9, 2016, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an argument between Andira and Mohammed. After deputies left they were called back to the home.

Neighbor Bridgett Gatewood tried to save Mohammed.

“We turned him over and I was like, 'Oh my god, it's blood. He has been stabbed,'" she said.

Andira Abdelaziz, who lived at the home, was arrested and charged with his death.

Now Abdallah and Adham Abdelaziz have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

Andira Abdelaziz’ trial is expected to begin next month.
