HOUSTON – A teenager was shot to death Tuesday night in southwest Houston, according to police.
According to police, they found 18-year-old Darian Bolden with several gunshot wounds at the Peninsula Park apartment complex in the 4800 block of West Fuqua Street around 7 p.m.
Bolden was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital, where he passed away, police said.
Police said they do not know what led up to the shooting, but they believe there was an altercation and the victim was being chased based on the pattern of the shell casings.
Authorities believe there was another person with the victim who left the scene who they would like to speak to if that person comes forward.
Christopher Hodges, a man who lives at the complex, heard about 12 rounds and went outside where he found Bolden and started to administer first aid.
"I just called the name in Jesus. I was trying to get him to come back,” Hodges said. “I don't his name, I don’t know him, but I just knew that in his eyes I knew he was scared. So I kept asking him ‘come back, came back, came back to us’ until the ambulance and firefighters arrived."
Houston police also said they believe multiple shooters may be involved because different caliber shell casings were found at the scene and that the alleged shooters left in a white vehicle.
Witnesses described it as a shootout, but police do not know for sure, police said.
Police said a pellet gun was also found on the scene.
