GALVESTON, Texas – Likely just early for a Halloween party, an alligator made an appearance along the Galveston Seawall on Halloween Day.
Galveston police were called around 7 a.m. to the area of 21st Street and Seawall Boulevard for the report of the toothy reptile. The department, along with the Galveston Island Beach Patrol, worked to pull the gator to shore.

With additional help from the Texas Parks and Wildlife, the group managed to tape the gator's candy-chomping jaws shut, tie its legs together and take it to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
